Materials: ca. 100 g of any light-weight sock yarn; set of 5 double-pointed needles, in size required to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge: 30 sts = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, worked in the round - depends on the stretchiness of the yarn you're using - mine wasn't particularly stretchy, so it worked best with this gauge. Gotta try and play around a bit, won't you? ;)

Cuff:
Loosely cast on 60 st, divide onto 3 dpns (15 - 30 - 15), place marker and join for working in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Work 10 rounds in k2p2 rib stitch.
Leg:
Work in leg pattern until desired length. I did 2 full pattern repeats for mine.
Heel Flap:
Slide first 15 sts of needle 2 onto needle 1. Working back and forth on these 30 st:
Row 1 (RS): Sl 1, k to end.
Row 2 (WS): Sl 1, p to end.
Repeat these two rows 14 times (28 rows).
Turn heel:
Row 1 [RS]: K19, skp, k1. Turn.
Row 2: Sl 1, p9, p2tog, p1. Turn.
Row 3: Sl 1, k10, skp, k1. Turn.
Row 4: Sl 1, p11, p2tog, p1. Turn.
Row 5: Sl 1, k12, skp, k1. Turn.
Row 6: Sl 1, p13, p2tog, p1. Turn.
Row 7: Sl 1, k14, skp, k1. Turn.
Row 8: Sl 1, p15, p2tog, p1. Turn.
Row 9: Sl 1, k16, skp, k1. Turn.
Row 10: Sl 1, p17, p2tog, p1. Turn.
20 sts remain, divide these onto 2 needles.
Gusset:
With Needle 1, k 10 sts, then pick up 14 sts along the side of the heel flap plus 1 st in the gap between heel flap and Needle 2 (=25 sts).
Needle 2: K next 30 sts (instep).
Needle 3: With an empty needle, pick up and k 1 st in the gap between the instep sts and the heel flap, plus 14 st along the side of the heel flap. K 10 sts from the heel onto needle 3 (= 25 sts).
Now we have on Needle 1: 25 sts; Needle 2: 30 sts; Needle 3: 25 sts.) The remainder of the sock is worked on 3 needles.
Round 1:
N1: Work to 3 sts from end, k2tog, k1.
N2: Cont in pattern.
N3:K1, ssk, work to end.
Round 2:
Work even.
Repeat these 2 rnds until there are 60 sts remaining [N1:20 sts, N2: 20 sts, N3: 20 sts].
Foot:
Continue in leg pattern for the instep and stockinette on the sole until foot measures 2" (about 5 cm) less than the desired foot length.
Toe:
Divide st evenly on 4 needles.
Work decrease rounds as follows:
Needle 1: k to last 3 st, k2tog, k1
Needle 2: k1, skp, k to the end
Needle 3: k to last 3 st, k2tog, k1
Needle 4: k1, skp, k to the end.
Round 1: Decrease round.
Round 2, 3 and 4: k all sts without decreasing.
Round 5: Decrease round
Round 6 and 7: k all sts without decreasing.
Round 8: Decrease round
Round 9 and 10: k all sts without decreasing.
Round 11: Decrease round
Round 12 : k all sts without decreasing
Round 13: Decrease round
Round 14: k all sts without decreasing
Round 15: Decrease round
Round 16: k all sts without decreasing
Repeat Round 1 only until 8 sts remain. Cut yarn leaving an 8" (20.5cm) tail. Thread tail through these 8 sts with a tapestry needle, pull tight to close the gap between the st and fasten off on inside of sock - and voilá once more!
